Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Osage County Special Servcies to provide servcies directly and/or to contract with agencies to provide programs and services for persons with developmental disabilities who are residents of Asage County. Such programs shall enhance and promote the opportunity for full and equal participation of person with developmental disabilities in the economic, residential, social, and recreational opportunities in Osage County.

Services Available/Provided/Purchased

Currently, areas of servcies include, but are not limited to: Extended Employment, Recreation/Leisure Time Programs, Transportation, Respite Care, Community Integration, and Off-Site Habilitation.

Referral/Eligibility

A developmental disability is a disability,which is attributed to:

A. Mental Retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, head injury, autism, or a learning disbility related to a brain or dysfunction, or

B. Any other mental or physical impairment or combination of mental or physical impairments that are manifested before the person attains the age 22.
