Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Jefferson County Developmental Disabilites Resource Board and Developmental Servcies of Jefferson County, Inc. to provide resources which support persons with varied abilities to make choices to fully participate in the community, and to purseue a life with quality and dignity.

Services Available/Provided/Purchased

JCDDRB proves direct services through Developmental Services of Jefferson County, Inc. (DSJC), a Missouri not-for-profit corporation administred by and through purchase of servcies by JCDDRB. Services provided by DSJC include: community supports (group and individual), leisure servcies, adult vocational, and residential.

As of June 2002, under agreement and in cooperation with the Department of Mental Health, individuals with disabilties residing in Jefferson County have a choice to receive service coordination from the St. Louis Regional Center (Jefferson County office) or the Service Coordination of the Jefferson County Developmental Disabilities Resouce Board. This partnership was developed to enhance servcie coordination and to ensure quality services in Jefferson County.

Referral/Eligibility

To be eligible for services, and individual must have mental and/or physical disabiltiy that began for age 22 that is likely to continue indefinitely and results in major problems with two or more of the following: living and working independently, talking, self-direction, learning, walking, and self-care. Jefferson County residents and families who have members with developmental disabilities such as, but not limited to, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, congenital disabilities, Down Syndrom, Epilepsy (and other seizure disorders), and mental retardation are eligible for services.

Board of Directors Meetings

The board meets on the fourth Monday of each month beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the JCDDRB Administration Building, 3655 Baptist Park Road, Festus, Missouri
