Mission Statement

The mission of our Board is to assist Howard County domiciliary with developmental disabilities by providing support for widest possible variety of their needs with the goal of enabling these individuals to achieve a more independent lifestyle within the community. We strive to assist those who may not be eligible for help from other sources.

Services Available/Provided/Purchased

HCSSB contracts for the following services: personal assistant, transportation, specialized camps, day habilitation, dental services, therapeutic horsemanship, employment related services, and other related services on a case by case basis. No services are provided by HCSSB.

Referral/Eligibility

Persons proposed to be served must be determined eligible for services from the Department of Mental Health, Division of Developmental Disabilities

Board of Directors Meetings

The Board of Directors meets on the second Tuesday in January, April, June, August, and November, at 5pm at 222 East Davis in Fayette, MO. The meeting in June is an optional meeting, and depends on any applications received for funding and current Board work.
