The Early Intervention Program is designed to help infants and toddlers (ages birth through three years) with developmental delays to improve their skills. Families are the focal point of services. They are provided with information and support to help them assist their child develop to his or her fullest potential. We assist with the coordination of developmental, physical, occupational, and speech/language therapies.
Early Intervention services are funded through both the state and county.
Early Childhood Special Education provides specifically designed instruction to meet the unique needs of a child with developmental delays. The curriculum focuses on language skills, and social/emotional development. Along with peers who are non-disabled, children enhance their skills by participating in activities.
Early Childhood Special Education Services are provided for three schools in Lincoln County. When a child becomes age eligible for kindergarten a smooth transition is made to his/her local school. The preschool is approved by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
